Loan waiver beneficiaries to be announced on Nov 5
Andhra Pradesh government will announce the list of beneficiaries of loan waiver on November 5.
The objections will be received till November 10.
However, the government will impose a cut in the list by linking the loan waiver with Aadhaar card. The state government rejected about 18 lakh accounts saying that those persons do not possess Aadhaar card. The last date for submitting Aadhaar cards has ended on Friday. The government has already said that the date would not be extended.
The government issued orders to the officials to put the list at all panchayat offices in the state.
The first phase of payments will start on November 15. The government is estimating that about 30 lakh families will benefit by the loan waiver.
As per the statement issued by the government, only 20 percent of total families who got loans will be benefitted in the first phase.
Further, only one loan in a family will be waived off. With this, the farmers, who have different loans like DWCRA loans, crop loans and gold loans, are worried.
