Leopard On The Runway, Panic In Airport
Nepal's Tribhuvan International Airport had an unlikely visitor on Monday. A leopard ventured into the airport in Kathmandu and entered into the runway.
On spotting the leopard, the airport was closed down for sometime. Forest officials and the cops were called in immediately. They blocked the storm drain, where the leopard was hiding.
Both international and domestic flights were affected by the brief closure, which lasted some half-hour. Flights resumed after about 30 minutes. The search for the animal was continuing.
Airport is close to a forest area and animals foraying into the airport is common in Kathmandu.
