Legislative Council Dy Chairman Nethi Vidyasagar, DSP Sai Manohar Found In Nayeem’s Good Books    

Hyderabad: On expected lines, top political leaders and officials including Telangana Legislative Council Deputy Chairman Nethi Vidyasagar, DSP Sai Manohar are included in the list prepared by Special Investigation Team (SIT), which mobilized key evidences establishing the nexus with the slain gangster Mohammad Nayeemuddin alias Nayeem. SIT on Tuesday submitted a report to Bhongir Court after the order by the High Court. The report is said to have given a list of names of politicians who had links with the slain gangster Nayeem. SIT, which is probing into over 150 criminal cases against the underworld don Nayeem, has acquired key evidences and details from close associates, informers and other criminals who worked for Nayeem on the ground level.

The list is said to have included the name of Deputy Chairman of Legislative Council N Vidyasagar Rao. This name is said to have been disclosed by one Gangasani Ravinder Reddy. Another witness Madhukar Reddy mentioned the name of another TRS leader Chintala Venkateshwar Reddy.

Senior police officials on a condition of anonymity said that the names of few more political leaders mostly from Nalgonda may be revealed. In additon to the names of some politicians, the names of police officials are also there in the report.

Telangana police department, as sources said, issued orders directing 13 officials to surrender their service revolvers. The SIT which speeded up the process, started issuing notices to individuals whose names have cropped up recently.

Another witness V Shivaram is said to have revealed the name of DSP M Srinivas, while Yousuf Khan revealed the name of DSP Masthan Vali and Laxman Reddy disclosed the name of CI Venkat Reddy, it is said. Till now, the SIT has registered 156 cases and arrested more than 100 individuals.

Nethi Vidyasagar's benami Nagaiah, who's a cook in the Dy Chairman's house, has 10 acres in Bommaipalli. DSP Sai Manohar's benami Kothuru Venkataramaiah, Warangala, has one acre land in Bhongir, while another benami Teegala Shobhan Rao has two acres in Bhongir.

Kalvakurthi CI Venkataiah's benami Mallikarjun has one acre in Bhongiri. ASP Maddipati Srinivas' benami Nagendraprasad has prime land in Bhongir. Khammam SI Boora Raja gopal's benami Narsimha Swamy has one acre in Bhongir. Sangareddy Traffic CI Mastanvali's benami and his uncle Yousuf Khan has one acre in Bommaipalli. Politician Chintala Venkateshwar Reddy's benami Beram Madhukar Reddy, who's a builder, has 10 acres in Bommaipalli, Police official Malineni Srinivas Rao's benami Velagapudi Shivaram prasad has prime land in Bhongir.

Builder booked in connection with slain gangster Nayeem case

According to the allegations, Nayeem and Pride India builders had trespassed a temple land at Devathalagutta.

Meanwhile, the Saroornagar police booked Pride India CEO Sanober Ali Baig and his associates in connection with a Nayeem case. Police during the interrogation, came to know of criminal activities of Nayeem and Pride India builders as they had trespassed a temple land at Devathalagutta. A case for criminal intimidation was also booked.

Police booked the case following a complaint from a local BJP leader, who alleged that Nayeem and Baig along with their associates including one Mallela Srikant had tried to trespass on land belonging to a Hanuman temple. It’s alleged that Nayeem and his gangmen threatened people who tried to resist them from encroaching the temple’s land.

Gangster Nayeem was main accused in the case and the third accused was Sanober Baig. Four others, associates of both Nayeem and Baig, have been named in the FIR.

Police booked the case following a complaint from a local BJP leader, who alleged that Nayeem and Baig along with their associates including one Mallela Srikant had tried to trespass on land belonging to a Hanuman temple. It's alleged that Nayeem and his gangmen threatened people who tried to resist them from encroaching the temple's land.

A Division Bench comprising acting Chief Justice Ramesh Ranganathan and Justice A Shankar Narayana was hearing a PIL by CPI leader Dr K Narayana seeking a CBI probe into the criminal activities and murders committed by Nayeem and his gang.

Another suspect Beeram Madhukar Reddy, 43, who's a realtor and was arrested in a case in connection with Nayeem, also confessed that he had become a benami of Chintala Venkateshwar Reddy, brother-in-law of the Nalgonda collector, and Nayeem. Madhukar Reddy had incurred loss in his construction business and came in contact with Nayeem's associates. Venkateshwar Reddy had registered his 10 acres land in Bhongir on Madhukar Reddy’s name. Madhukar Reddy told police that Venkateshwara Reddy registered 10 acres land in Bommaipalli on his name and will dispose it off whenever it gets an attractive price.

Senior counsel Sarasani Satyam Reddy, appearing for Subhash Pothireddy, said the SIT had registered 62 cases. It had found that Nayeem had properties in AP, Goa, Karnataka, Maharashtra and Chhattisgarh besides Telangana.
