Lecturer, students sexually harass girl, land in prison

Kakinada: A lecturer and four students landed themselves behind the bars for sexually harassing a girl student in Kakinada.

The lecturer, Viravalli Satya Deepak, and the students-Srinivas, Mothupalli Rohithmohan, Vijayababu and Venkatesh- all from Ideal College in the city, have been harassing her for the past few weeks.

The trouble for the hapless girl started when she went to the college for an online examination. Ever since, the lecturer and the student quartet asked her to ‘cooperate’ else they would rape her.

Accused even went further and threatened her to attack with acid and lacerate her with blades. They also gave her deadline of three days to cooperate with them. Frightened girl informed the same to her parents. Reacting on this her parents gave police complaint. Police took the accused into custody and booked them.
