Leaders fighting for 'T' have vested interests: Kavuri
Congress MP Kavuri Sambasiva Rao on Monday said that the leaders who are fighting for Telangana are not keen on achieving a separate state.
Addressing the Samaikya Andhra students' JAC at Nagarjuna University in Guntur District, he accused the Telangana leaders of conspiring Telangana movement to achieve fancy posts and make money.
"Telangana leaders started the 'T' movement just to rob the innocent people. They will not raise Telangana issue in the future if they get good posts," he said.
Criticizing TRS chief K. Chandrasekhara Rao indirectly, he said KCR was provoking students to make them participate in the agitations and he was responsible for the suicides of the youth during the protests. Kavuri said he has not received a call from the Centre to attend the all-party meeting to be held on December 28.
He has been working for the Congress party for the past four decades and thus has no worry on his future in politics, he added.
He even said that the Congress party has no values as it had ignored senior leaders and loyalists in the party.
Congress MLA Malladi Vishnu also attended the conference.
