Leaders comment on AP bifurcation

State of Telangana has finally become a reality. India got its 29th state when the AP Re-organisation Bill was approved by the Lok Sabha on Tuesday.

The Bill will be sent to the Rajya Sabha on Wednesday for its approval. Various leaders cutting across party lines have expressed their opinions over the bifurcation: 

VENKAIAH NAIDU : This is the darkest day in the history of Parliament. The house is being run by keeping the people of the country in dark.

JAIPAL REDDY : We will do justice for Seemandhra people. The dream of Telanganapeople has became a reality now.

SIVA PRASAD (TDP-MP) : We will teach a lesson to political parties in the next elections. I am ashamed for being a member of this house.

KODANDARAM (TJAC): The success is dedicated for those who have laid down their lives fighting for Telangana.

TRINAMOOL CONGRESS MP: With this, the demands for more states will increase.

MODUGULA VENUGOPALA REDDY: Throat of Seemandhra was cut in the Parliament. Severe injustice was done to Seemandhra people.

HAREESH RAO: Seemandhra people in Hyderabad can continue to live in the city happily. The state was created with the untiring efforts of TRS chief K.Chandrasekhara Rao,

VIJAYA SANTHI: This is the wonderful day. Sonia Gandhi has given the state crossing several hurdles.

NAMA NAGESWARA RAO: The wish of Telangana people is fulfilled today. It is my privilege to vote infavour of the bill.

ERRABELLI DAYAKARA RAO: We are thanking Congress, Sonia Gandhi and Chandrababu Naidu for helping to get the new state.

DEPUTY CM DAMODARA RAJANARASIMHA: Tit for tat. (Bill approved in LS with voice vote just assembly rejected it voice vote)

LAGADAPATI RAJAGOPAL: We did all to stop the bifurcation of the state. But, it is sad that the new state of Telangana became a reality.

UTTAM KUMAR REDDY: It is the result of the people who have laid down their lives for the sake of Telangana.
