Lady duo cheated people to the extent of Rs.2 cr

Chit funds crimes are increasing day by day. These are coming out almost every day at one place or other in the state.

Two ladies cheated the people at Angadidibba area in Visakhapatnam to the extent of Rs. 2 crores. Both the ladies escaped with the amount.

Annapurna and her mother Vara Lakshmi did the people to suffer with their act.

It is reported several government employed ladies in large number paid the amount to the lady duo.

Both the ladies could escape from their home in the name of repairing some items in their house.

The people, after realizing that they were cheated, gave a complaint to the police immediately.

However, it took sometime for the police to react as they were busy with election duties then. Later, the police took into custody about five persons, including the duo.

As per the sources, the amount the two ladies collected may be as high as Rs.10 crores.
