Lady Don Reveals It All In Drugs Scam

Hyderabad: Several big names were allegedly revealed by woman gangster, Palaparthi Sangeetha, who was caught along with several Nigerians for supplying drugs at schools and colleges.

Along with her accomplice, John, she is said to have supplied drugs to wards of the rich and famous in Banjara Hills and Jubilee Hills area. During sustained interrogation by the police over three days, she also revealed that she ran a prostitution ring in the city. Sangeetha told the police that she used to blackmail her "employees" with their nude photos if they did not heed to her orders.

A native of Vijayawada, she was widowed within six months of her marriage. Later, she worked for a call center and during that time she came in contact with a Sudanese woman through Facebook. Later, when Sangeetha shifted to Hyderabad she retained her friendship with the Sudanese woman. The latter introduced Sangeetha to her Nigerian friend, Ozoku Cosmos, in Hyderabad.

Since January 2017, she joined their business of drugs procurement and supply in the twin cities. This included brown sugar and cocaine, she told the investigators. She revealed the names of the rest gang members to the police. They included John Okari, Cyril and Henry. They opened a bank account in her name and used the account to conduct transactions relating to the sale of drugs, she said.

Interestingly, Cyril and John are pursuing degree at Nizam College in the city. They were apprehended along with Sangeetha from LB Nagar bus stand on July 23. About 3 grams of cocaine and 200 grams of ganja was recovered from them. Police also arrested Cosmos from Bandlaguda Sun City and three other peddlers from Thiru apartment in Yapral.
