Laborer Rapes 6-Year-Old Girl

Vijayawada: A 6-Year-old girl was raped by a stranger after she went to watch a play with her parents on Sunday night.
The girl who belongs to Bodavada village in Krishna district along with the family went to watch a stage play on the life of Dr. BR Ambedkar which was a part of his birth anniversary celebrations. When the play was going on, the girl went to relieve herself. After she moved away from the gathering, a daily wage laborer G. Ishaq offered her to buy chocolates and took her to a nearby water tank and raped her.
When the girl's grandmother realized that the girl did not return, she asked her grandson, brother of the girl to look for her. He went around looking for her and heard screams of the girl near the water tank. The boy came back and told his parents and took them to the water tank. When the girl's grandmother caught the miscreant red-handed, he pushed the old woman and fled away.
The victim's mother lodged a complaint against Ishaq. Police registered a case and are trying to nab the accused.
