Kurnool Praja Ballot Puts Chandrababu on Notice

Chandrababu may have recently done a whirlwind tour of Kurnool, but is Kurnool with him on the issue of Special Category Status? If Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee's recent Praja Ballot in Kurnool is any indication, the people's mood has turned against Chandrababu.

While 18000 people voted in favour, only 28 felt special category status was not needed. Similarly, they were asked if the 600-odd election eve promises given by Chandrababu wee fulfilled. Only 32 of those who gave their opinions felt Chandrababu has fulfilled the promises he gave.

The Praja Ballot was conducted along a 3 km road in Kurnool city and little over 18000 people cast their votes. the people were asked if they wanted special category status. While 18000 people voted in favour, only 28 felt special category status was not needed. Similarly, they were asked if the 600-odd election eve promises given by Chandrababu wee fulfilled. Only 32 of those who gave their opinions felt Chandrababu has fulfilled the promises he gave.

PCC chief Raghuveera Reddy said the TDP has failed on all fronts and that the people are waiting to teach it a lesson. He said the people want special status for AP.
