KTR In Seoul: Musi, Solid Waste Management Figure In Talks

A delegation led by IT, Industries and Urban Development Minister KT Rama Rao held a series of meetings in Daegu Metropolitan City, South Korea on Monday. Daegu is also known as "Textile City" and is home to several textile, fashion and high-tech industries.
The delegation on Friday visited Cheonggyecheon River Stream in Seoul, South Korea to learn about the river restoration project.
KTR enquired about the methods followed in Seoul to keep the river stream clean so that the same can be replicated in Telangana as well.
The minister said that Telangana government would state-of-the-art methods to clean up Musi which was an arterial river coursing through Hyderabad.

The team also toured Hanam city to study effective solid waste management system
and pollution control methods.
Meetings With Investors In Seoul
The Telangana Team told the Hyundai Corporation's Executive Vice-President Nam Geunho in Seoul about the features of their government's new investment policy.
KTR explained the various investment opportunities in Telangana and also gave an overview of TSiPASS single-window clearance initiative for investors.
Accompanied by IT Secretary Jayesh Ranjan and Advisor to TS Govt G. Vivek, KTR is on a 10-day tour to Switzerland, Japan and South Korea. On the first day of his tour, the delegation met heads of several prominent companies. The team also met Youngone Corporation Chairman Kihuk Sung whose company had recently announced a USD 300 million investment in Kakatiya Textile Park.

An agreement was signed between Govt of Telangana and MOIBA (Korea Mobile Internet Business Association) to collaborate in the AVCGI, AI, VR, AR, IoT and Electronics manufacturing sectors. They also held a meeting with Choi Dong Jin, Executive Director, and representatives from MOIBA - an association of about 500 Mobile Internet companies based in South Korea.
