KTR arrested, KCR demands release

In order to foil ' Sadak bandh' (road blockade) called by the Telangana Political Joint Action Committee (TJAC), to bring pressure on the Central government on the 'T' issue, the police on Thursday arrested TRS MLA KTR.

Police took KTR into custody at Shad Nagar after his participation in the blockade of Hyderabad-Bangalore National High way. The protestors damaged two APSRTC buses and 40 other vehicles plying on the Highway.

Meanwhile, TRS chief Chandrasekhara Rao condemned the arrests. Talking to the media in new Delhi, KCR demanded the immediate release of the leaders terming the arrests 'illegal'.
