Kishan Reddy to contest from Medak MP seat?
TRS president K.Chandrasekhar Rao has to resign from his Medak parliamentary seat as he is going to take oath as the chief minister of Telangana on June 2.
As per the rules of the Election Commission of India, any candidate, who is elected from two seats, has to resign from one of them within 18 days. However, the TRS president is planning to resign from Medak parliamentary seat well before the stipulated time.
With this, the bye elections have to be conducted here within six months.
BJP national leadership is planning to field BJP state president Kishan Reddy from this constituency. It is of the opinion that only Kishan Reddy can give a tough fight here irrespective of the capabilities of the TRS candidate who contest from here.
On the other hand, Kishan Reddy is so eager to go to parliament. In the recent elections, he tried his level best to get a ticket to contest from Secunderabad parliamentary constituency. But, the party gave the ticket to Bandaru Dattatreya.
