Kiran will complete his term: AICC Secy

A Congress leader has said Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy would complete his term, an assertion which comes amidst speculation about possible change of guard in the state.

AICC Secretary Krishna Murthy, involved in managing Congress affairs in the State, told reporters here that Reddy, who took charge in November 2010, will complete his term.
There has been speculation that both the Chief Minister and State Congress President B Satyanarayana would be replaced. Assembly election in the state is due in 2014.
Union Minister Vayalar Ravi, an old Congress hand in AP affairs, recently reportedly said in Delhi that no discussion has taken place about leadership change in Andhra Pradesh, where the ruling party is facing challenges over Telangana statehood issue and rising popularity of YSR Congress led by Jaganmohan Reddy.
Dismissing the speculation, the State Congress President said such media reports were incorrect and uncalled for.
