Kiran meets Sonia, returns to Hyd

Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy on Friday met AICC president Sonia Gandhi along with in-charge of AP affairs Gulam Nabi Azad and Ahmed Patel and underscored the need for cabinet revamp and two Telangana MPs shifting loyalties to TRS apart from other issues.
The meeting which went on for one hour discussed prominently about the cabinet reshuffle in the wake of CBI chargesheet on the ministers. Earlier in the day, the chief minister met Azad twice and briefed him on the urgency of changes in the cabinet and the steps to be taken on the local body elections.
Sonia Gandhi is learnt to have kept the changes in the cabinet only after a week or after the assembly session beginning on June 10. Since there is no positive sign at the meeting, the Chief Minister expected some decision in a week’s time.
