Director H Vinoth's Khakee starring Karthi and Rakul Preet in the lead roles released in theatres today. Every actor would love to do a cop role in reel life and Karthi fulfilled it in Khakee.

Rakul Preet who was last seen in Spyder is being paired opposite Karthi for the first time.With a fantastic script, both the actors have pinned huge hopes on Khakee because their last releases bombed at the box office. Although the trailer of Khakee received a mixed response, the film has opened to positive reviews as the audience has given their thumbs up.

Story: Based on the true story of a high-profile case handled by Tamil Nadu police in the 90s, the story charts the journey of a police officer who is entrusted with the task of solving the mystery behind a series of murders that follow the same pattern.
