Khairatabad Lord Ganesh idol immersed in Hussainsagar lake

The popular Lord Ganesh idol in Khairatabad was immersed in Hussainsagar lake on Tuesday evening.

The utsav committee conducted pujas for the idol before immersing it in the lake.

It took nearly 18 hours to reach the lake from Khairatabad area. The idol was immersed with the help of large cranes.

The idol was made with a weight of 60 kgs and it was worshipped for 11 days by some lakhs of people in the city.

Devotees in large number came to see the biggest idol in the city of Hyderabad. The areas like Necklace road, tank bund, Telugu Talli flyover and others were completely filled with devotees. The traffic was jammed due to the event.
