KCR’s Ugadi Gift to Telangana
As Ugadi gift from Telangana government, the new year of Telugu people, chief minister K. Chandrashekar Rao unveiled a hand book called Karadeepika.
Covering over 20 topics, the book comprises Telugu Varnamala, Telugu years, Vedas, Epics, Upanishads, Telugu idioms, festivals, festival songs, state symbols, Telangana art and culture, food and agriculture and the dynasties that ruled Telangana.
The comprehensive 56-page book has an attractive look and is a treasurehouse of information. The books are to be forwarded to the district collectors on March 17.
Chief minister KCR took the initiative to bring awareness among the youth about the state culture and festivals. The books will be distributed by DEOs and officials of Revenue department to around 1.3 crore people in Telangana which was numbered after Telangana's Samagra Kutumba Survey in 2014.
The state government has also provided an opportunity for the district collectors to print over one lakh books.
