KCR Roots for Smaller Districts for Better Administration
Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao said that world over, experience has shown that smaller administrative units ensure better results.
Speaking after reviewing the districts reorganisation with the party leaders and elected people's representatives from Karimnagar, Warangal, Khammam, Adilabad and Hyderabad here on Monday, he said smaller districts would go a long way in ensuring poverty alleviation and optimal usage of local resources.
He said a High Power Committee would be constituted under the chairpersonship of MP K Keshava Rao to study the the carving out of new districts in Gadwal, Sircilla and Janagam and submit a report within a couple of days. He said smaller units would be beneficial for the implementation of the welfare projects.
MP K Keshava Rao, Ministers, MLAs and other leaders from the five districts were present.
