KCR outpaces Chandrababu in administration
One month into governance, TRS chief and Telangana Chief Minister KCR has given enough indications that he has the capability to put Telangana back on the path to development and progress.
On the positive side, KCR has taken some firm decisions, particularly cracking a whip on the encroachments. He had initiated a massive demolition drive against illegal constructions. Another major achievement is his success in sorting out issues pertaining to the division of work-force. He had also prodded the civic officials to take up developmental works in Hyderabad, which is going to polls soon.
During this one month, KCR made two trips to New Delhi to plead with the Central Government for additional funds and infrastructural investment support. Both have become plus points for him.
Also, he is working till late midnight, giving sleepless nights to the bureaucracy. He also proved that despite being less experienced compared to Andhra CM Chandrababu Naidu, KCR is several paces ahead in administration. His daily review meetings with the officers and maintenance of Law and order, have shown his administrative skills.
He has become hero and was in headlines for entire week for demolishing illegal constructions and shown that he is not averse to take on biggies.
By making Bonalu and Bathukamma as state festivals and celebrating the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister PV Narasimha Rao in a grand way, he has proved that he would give due importance to all the things.
On the flip side, however, the handling of Beas tragedy showed that there are miles to go in terms of quick response to crises. However, the balance sheet shows more credits than debits.
