KCR is Hesitant to Celebrate Telangana Liberation Day Fearing the Owaisis
Warangal: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Amit Shah on Saturday criticised the TRS government in the state for not celebrating the Telangana Liberation Day for fear of the Owaisis.
Addressing a mammoth crowd of BJP workers and sympathisers at Hanmakonda, he said most of KCR policies are dependent on the likes and dislikes of the Owaisi brothers. Strongly criticising chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, he said KCR failed to understand the sentiment of the people in celebrating the auspicious day of liberation from the tyranny of the Nizam rule. He reminded that gathering that Karnataka and Maharashtra states celebrate September 17 as Liberation Day as a mark of respect to those that fought the Razakars – the private army of the Nizam. “What prevents KCR from celebrating the lives of those martyrs and saluting their heroic deeds in fighting the Razakars,” Amit Shah asked.
Recalling the role of former home minister late Sardar Vallabhai Patel in the liberation of Hyderabad and ensuring its joining the Indian Union, the BJP president said it is the bravado of Vallabhai Patel that convinced the Nizam that he has no option but to give up his tyrannical rule and join Indian Union.
Rahul has charged the BJP for being involved in scams. Does he realize that the biggest scam of over 12 lakh crores took place during the UPA regime?
The BJP chief also took potshots at the Congress party during his speech. Targeting Congress general secretary Rahul Gandhi, he said, “Rahul has charged the BJP for being involved in scams. Does he realize that the biggest scam of over 12 lakh crores took place during the UPA regime.”
Also replying to senior Congressman Gulam Nabi Azad’s recent comments on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s foreign trips, Amit Shah said, “when the PM goes on a foreign trip it is for the welfare of the country where crores of investments pour-in. Also, India is now recognised as a world power on the global stage. On the contrary when former prime minister Manmohan Singh visited foreign shores, he only repeated two pages of prepared text. Hardly anyone heard what he spoke but when Modi arrives in a foreign country thousands gather to welcome him.”

The BJP president stated that BJP is the only party that does not fear anyone to celebrate Telangana Liberation Day and asked the people if they wished to see a BJP-led government in the state. As the gathering responded with a resounding ‘yes’, he asked them to strengthen the party from that can alone understand and fulfill the aspiration of the people. He listed scores of welfare schemes introduced by the BJP government on the occasion. “However, the TRS government is proving to be a hurdle in those schemes reaching the common man in Telangana,” he said.
