KCR Funds 7-Year-Old Boy’s Heart Surgery
Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao has come to the rescue of a 7-year-old boy by bearing his medical expenses for heart transplantation.
KCR's attention was caught after various reports of the ailing boy carried in the media. The CM directed Siddipet Collector P. Venkatrami Reddy to make arrangements for the boy's surgery. KCR said that doctors from Yashodha and Care would undertake the surgery.

Bokuri Likith Reddy has four holes in his heart and was born to a poor farmer couple. His parents - Bal Reddy and Lavanya - visited various hospitals and were told that heart transplantation surgery would cost Rs60 lakh. Unable to bear the expenses the couple started looking for help through crowd funding. The boy hails from Cheriyal mandal in Siddipet.
