KCR Crowns Farmers With Capital Support For 2 Crops
Hyderabad: Chief Minister and Telangana Rashtra Samiti president Kalvakuntla Chandrasekhar Rao on Friday showered sops on farmers declaring that the government is committed to make Telangana an ideal state in agriculture sector. CM announced that Rs4000 per crop will be given to each farmer in the state for two seasons in a year.
"There will be no restriction on the use of funds; farmers can buy any fertilizer, pesticide or others things required for a better yield," he said.
In his inaugural speech at the party's plenary at Kompally near city, KCR reiterated that his government is totally in favor of making agriculture a viable profession by lending all support required throughout the crop cycles. The government is planning to make agriculture an organized sector by creating a farmers' federation and bringing each single farmer under its purview, KCR said adding that Rs500 crore will be allocated for the federation in the next budget. "I will make farmer a king," he said.
CM said the government is making all efforts for the upliftment of various backward communities such as Yadavas,
Kurumas, Rajakas, Nayibrahmans, Gouds and all those who are dependent on conventional trades.
The plenary attended by 1,600 party delegates elected KCR as the president for the eighth term. The plenary is discussing the seven resolutions proposed by the leaders before adopting them before the end of the session.
