Kavuri ready for a showdown with Cong ?

A sulking Eluru MP and senior Congress leader Kavuri Sambasiva Rao appears to be ready for a showdown with his party.

Kavuri, as he is known in his close circles, who was in New Delhi today announced that he will step down from all the posts that he has been holding till now, including from the PCC coordination committee. The Eluru MP was deeply hurt as he was not considered for a Cabinet berth in the recent reshuffle in which Andhra Pradesh was given a major share.
What has hurt Kavuri most appears to be that Daggubati Purandheswari, who also belongs to the same community, was elevated in the Union Ministry while he was totally ignored by the Congress High Command.
An unhappy MP immediately reacted very sharply and resigned from the Lok Sabha. He has even sent in his resignation letter to Congress president Sonia Gandhi with a request to forward it to the Lok Sabha Speaker.
Today, he announced that he would quit all his posts in the party except from the primary membership of the Congress. He also said that he would take a decision on November 6 after holding deliberations with his supporters.
