Katasani quits Congress, supports Jagan's fast

The Congress Party received a jolt in the Seemandhra region after Katasani Rami Reddy announced his resignation to the party.

Speaking to the media in Kurnool, Katasani said that he took this decision against the Congress party decision to divide the Andhra Pradesh.

Katasani went on an indefinite hunger strike in support of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy who has been fasting from Sunday protesting Congress' unilateral decision to divide the state.

He lamented that despite the presence of several parties in the state, it was only YS Jagan who has undertaken deeksha demanding justice to all the three regions. Thus he began fasting to support Jagan, he added.

He called upon all the Seemandhra people to extend their support to Jagan's hunger strike. Lashing out at Union Minister Chiranjeevi, Katasani said that Chiranjeevi changed his stand after being inducted into union ministry.

Katasani compared Chiranjeevi to a bull decorated during Pongal which nods in agreement to everything
