Kapu leader Mudragada defers fast
Kakinada: Kapu leader Mudragada Padmanabham's proposed fast from March 11, has been put off in view of the public examinations. Mudragada said that he would not like to put the students to inconvenience and added that the future course of action would soon be made public.
The decision was taken after Kapu students requested him to defer his fast in view of the examinations. The Kapu leader said he was postponing the fast as he did not want to cause trouble to students from other castes.
He said the decision on hunger-strike was taken by himself and added that he would be the first to die for the Kapu cause. He said the fast would depend on the actions of Chief Minister Chandrababu. He also strongly opposed foisting of cases on innocent Kapu youth in connection with the Tuni violence.
