Kanumuri all set to resign as TTD chief - Sakshi Post

The efforts of Kanumuri Bapiraju is all set to resign from the TTD chairperson's post on Friday.

He will convene a press meet immediately after his resignation.

Bapiraju served two terms in the post and made a strong bid to remain in the post for third consecutive time. When that failed, he tried to continue in the post till August 25, the date on which his term expires.

The Andhra Pradesh government has issued orders abolishing all temple management boards in the state. After the orders, the chairpersons and members of various temple boards have started quitting their posts. With this, Bapiraju is left with no other option but to resign.

Before the orders, state endowment minister Manikyala Rao openly asked Bapiraju to quit his post.
