Kadiyam Srihari Cracks The Whip On Private Colleges in Telangana

Telangana Deputy chief minister and education minister, Kadiyam Srihari came down heavily on corporate junior colleges and those under private managements in the state with a warning that untoward incidents on their campuses will attract criminal action.

The minister said that the government takes a serious note of competitive coaching classes being run through summer months which are actually meant for vacation. He added that without prior permission of the government, such classes cannot be conducted.

He said that the government would process and complete the system of according affiliation to all the junior colleges in Telangana and will come up with a district-wise list. Once the final list is put out by the government, applications for additional sections will not encouraged.

He also frowned upon the system of admitting students without a proper notification from the board of intermediate and said that the process of admission should begin only after the notification is issued.

He was also critical of sales promotion campaigns by corporate colleges and added that he would convene a meeting with the managements of the colleges soon.
