Kadapa man who attempted suicide at governor's residence, dies

A 29-year-old man, who attempted suicide by consuming pesticides in front of Raj Bhawan after accusing a Circle Inspector of harassment three days ago, died on Sunday morning. 

Pawan Kumar, resident of Kadapa, attempted to kill himself after allegedly being physically harassed by CI Ramkrishna. Pawan was immediately hospitalised after the incident. He died today at the Gandhi hospital while undergoing treatment. 

Pawan is highly in debt, and wanted the Governor to intervention in the matter. However, he was mistreated by the police officer.  

He also carried a note which mentioned that he resorted to the extreme step due to being depressed over not getting back his money given to a person in Kadapa.
