Kadapa: Slippers hurled at minister Ahmadullah
Minorities Welfare Minister Syed Mohammed Ahmadullah had to face embarrassing moments in Kadapa district on Monday.
According to reports, the minister went to the collectorate office where the supporters of united Andhra Pradesh are fasting to protest against the Centre's decision to grant separate statehood to Telangana.
Soon as the minister reached the venue, scores of the protestors raised slogans against him demanding his resignation. Meanwhile, some miscreants threw slippers at the ministers. Situation turned tense when a rift occurred between the supporters of Ahmadullah and the protestors.
The minister was forced to leave the place without accomplishing his task.
Speaking to reporters a few minutes after he left the venue, the minister said: "I came here as a Samikayndhra supporter not as a minister. I resigned the day the announcement came. Hyderabad is ours."
