Vijayawada: The Andhra Pradesh state government has reportedly finalised the name of veteran director K Raghavendra Rao as new chairman of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD).
The AP Chief Minister is also learnt to have given his nod for Rao's appointment as the new chairman. Raghavendra Rao's name was doing the rounds quite for sometime now after Chadalavada Krishna Murthy stepped down after completing his term in 2017.

The TTD trust takes complete responsibility of managing the world famous
Lord Venkateswara Swamy temple atop the seven hills in Tirumala.

The TTD's management, administration and its functions are governed by the guidelines issued by the state government.

Following a cabinet meeting on January 20, the Chief Minister is expected to announce the new TTD chairman's name. Raghavendra Rao has been the board member of the TTD since 2015.
