Juvenile In Nirbhaya Case Now Wields Ladle In A Dhaba
At a time when his accomplices are being sent to gallows, the juvenile, who had part taken in the brutal rape of student Nirbhaya, has now turned a cook.
After the horrific crime on December 12, 2012, the incident had sparked a nation-wide debate with multiple voices demanding capital punishment to the juvenile.
Now he turned a new leaf after serving four years in remand home, the then juvenile is earning a living in a little eatery somewhere in South India. He is under constant watch by an NGO, which is entrusted to take care of him. He is being constantly shifted from one place to another only to conceal his identity. Even his employer doesn't know about his past. And his name has also been changed.
According to officials working with the NGO, he was sent away from national capital so that no one could trace him. Even though, the juvenile was involved in the brutal rape case of paramedical student on that December 12, there was no evidence to prove that he was the most brutal and caused maximum damage to the victim.
Born in a poor family in Uttar Pradesh, the juvenile had fled home and arrived in Delhi in search of a work. He happened to meet driver Ram Singh, who was also convicted in the case and committed suicide in Tihar jail.
Ram Singh had owed the juvenile a sum of Rs8,000 for working under him for some period. On that fateful night in December, he came to Ram Singh to collect his money. Unfortunately, the teenager had to be with Ram Singh only to witness the gruesome incident and became the part of the crime.
