Journalists of two TV channels stage a dharna in Hyderabad

The journalists of TV9 and ABN, staged a dharna at Indira Park in Hyderabad on Monday demanding that their channels be aired in Telangana state.

They demanded the state government to take steps for the resuming the broadcast of their channels.

Giving his support to the dharna of the journalists,Congress MLC Ranga Reddy said that it is very unfortunate that these two channels were banned in Telangana. “Media has the right to highlight the mistakes of the government and it is not proper to ban the channels,” said the MLC.

The MLC said that his party was ready to fight on behalf of the journalists.
