Journalist Stabbed To Death In Karimnagar

Karimnagar: A news reporter was killed by unidentified assailants in Godavarikani on Sunday morning.

According to police, Buggala Srinivas (40) alias Arekolla Srinivas was working as a reporter for 'Mana Telangana'. He was staying with his wife and two children at Uday Nagar. Around 9 am, a group of people barged into his house and attacked him with knives. Srinivas died on the spot with severe injuries. His wife, who tried to come to his rescue, was also injured.

Based on a complaint by the journalist's family members, police registered a case and sent the body for post-mortem.

Police said that Srinivas' name was registered in rowdy sheet and he was the main accused in the murder case of constable Erragolla Ramesh in 2010.
