Hyderabad: As many as 200 unemployed youth were cheated by a fraudster in Tarnaka in the guise of job consultancy after collecting nearly Rs. 2 crore from the victims.

Police filed a case against the fraudster after the victims lodged a complaint with Osmania University Police Station on Friday. Police said, Pawan Kumar was running SK Global Consultancy at Tarnaka. Promising jobs in foreign countries to unemployed youth, he amassed nearly Rs.2 crore from 200 unemployed persons collecting Rs.50,000 to Rs.1,50,000 from each.

However, the victims realised only on Thursday night that they were cheated when they found the office closed and phones switched off.
Police are investigating.
