JNTU directed colleges to finish the process before the year ends

Hyderabad: Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU) issued notice to its affiliated colleges to implement biometric attendance system for students and faculty before the year ends.

The notice said that biometric for faculty members should be done in first phase and should be completed by December 19 and then undertake second phase for the students.

There are 158 engineering colleges in the state, with over 57,000 students.

JNTU issued the guidelines after receiving directives from deputy chief minister and education minister Kadiyam Srihari.
