Jayalalithaa's lawyers file appeal in court - Sakshi Post

Convicted former chief minister of Tamil Nadu J Jayalalithaa has filed the appeal before the Karnataka High Court. She sought sought for suspension of sentence.

Jayalalithaa has decided to seek limited relief specific to her sentence of 4 years for now. She would later move the court questioning the sentence as her team of lawyers need time to study the 896 page court order.

Jaya's team of lawyers want the issue to be heard by Tuesday. If it gets delayed for some reason or the other, then they would have to wait till October 6 in view of the court vacation.
