Hyderabad: Actor-politician and Jana Sena founder Pawan Kalyan has said that his party will be neutral in the Nandyal byelection which is scheduled on August 23.

Pawan Kalyan was speaking to media persons in Hyderabad on Wednesday. He rubbished the reports that Jana Sena is in support of TDP nominee Bhuma Brahmananda Reddy.

Admitting that his party is still in the foundation stage, Pawan clarified that the Jana Sena has dropped the idea of contesting any byelection that would be held in Andhra Pradesh before 2019 elections. Jana Sena would set its foot in the election fray only after strengthening the party from the grass-root level, he said.

"I am announcing my decision only after consulting party leaders and my supporters," he maintained. He further appealed to people not to believe rumors which claim that Pawan is supporting the ruling party or the opposition.
