Jalayagnam is Jalabhagnam under Kiran rule: Vijayamma

With the aim of achieving Harithaandhraprdesh, Jalayagnam was aggressively worked upon during YS Rajasekhara Reddy's regime. But this government isn't really bothered about it, said YSR Congress Project honorary president, YS Vijayamma.

Government is neglecting the Pranahita-Chevella and Polavarm projects, she added while addressing media persons after the Assembly adjourned for half an hour.

The foundation stone was laid for Pranahita-Chevella project during the YSR regime, but the present government has failed to achieve national status for the same, she lamented, adding, Jalayagnam has turned into 'Jalabhagnam' under Kiran's rule.

She recalled that YSR had allotted Rs 50 crores for Jalayagnam. She also assured the public that the projects would be completed soon after YSRCP comes to power.
