Hyderabad: The real-estate developer Lodha Group is embroiled in a controversy after senior Tollywood actor Jagapathi babu alleged that the construction company has cheated him by violating norms.

Jagapathi Babu, who owns a flat in Lodha Apartments located near Kukatpally Housing Board, raised objection over the demolition of the wall that divides the adjacent Meridian apartments.

He said that he had purchased the flat in the apartment as it was a gated community but now the management has decided to demolish the wall to give way for the occupants of the both the apartments. "This will become a security problem for both the occupants of the apartments," he said.

After spending crores of rupees on the flat for a peaceful living, the management is now violating the rule that was mentioned during registration, he alleged. No fire safety alarms system or equipment were installed in the apartment as assured by the management during the purchase of the flat. The issue is likely to be discussed during a tri-party meeting with the GHMC on Friday, he said.
