Jagan to be under observation for 24 hours
Considering his frail health and the fact that there has been no food intake since seven days, there is a need to place YSR Congress leader YS Jagan Mohan Reddy under observation for 24 hours, Guntur government hospital superintendent Raju Naidu said.
Addressing the media, he said the party leader was dehydrated at the time of admission to the hospital at 4:30 a.m. on Tuesday.
The blood pressure of YS Jagan at the time of admission was at 130/90, pulse was 56, ketones at 4+ and sugar level was 65, he said. Doctors conducted tests related to kidneys, blood and heart and stated that while these parameters were normal the serum uric acid levels is a cause for concern.
They recommended complete rest and juices along with IV fluids to the party leader.
Meanwhile, addressing the media at the government hospital, YSR Congress leader and sister of YS Jagan, YS Sharmila said the Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu is encouraging state ministers to make adverse remarks on the deeksha and the demand for special status for the state.
She said, the chief minister should appreciate and support the demand for special status and not resort to degrading politics.
Special status for Andhra Pradesh and farm loan waiver were major poll promises of the TDP to come to power but are being ignored now, she reminded.
