YS Jagan's security: HC postpones hearing for next week
The Hyderabad High Court on Tuesday postponed hearing on YSRCP chief and leader of the Opposition YS Jagan Mohan Reddy's petition challenging the scaling down of his security by the AP government, for next week.
In his petition, YS Jagan mentioned that the TDP government scaled down the security despite the fact that he was Leader of Opposition and enjoys a cabinet rank. He also said he faced threat to his life from Maoists and factionists. Terming the move "unjust", he alleged that the government scaled down his security over narrow political interests.
The YSRCP chief has been provided with Z Category security during YSR's time and the same has been continued even after the death of his father and former CM Dr YS Rajasekhar Reddy.
The incumbent Chief Minister and then Opposition leader Chandra Babu Naidu too got same Z Category security. And there are several other politicians who are provided with the same security.
