Jagan's bail plea hearing adjourned to May 6
The Supreme Court on Monday adjourned the hearing on the bail petition of Kadapa MP and YSR Congress President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy to May 6.
Jagan's counsel argued that his client was being kept in jail and the investigations delayed due to political reasons.
The Court asked the CBI that why YS Jagan should not be given bail in connection with the quid pro quo case.
The Apex Court also issued notices to the CBI asking it to file its response before the next hearing and posted the matter for May 6.
Continuing his arguments, Jagan's lawyer complained against union ministers who have been making statements that Jagan can easily get bail if he agrees to merge his party (YRSCP) with the Congress.
