Jagan remand extended to June 21

The CBI special court on Friday extended the judicial remand for YS Jagan Mohan Reddy till June 21 in the assets case.

Jagan was brought to Nampalli special court in a bullet-proof vehicle from Chanchalguda jail. 

The court ordered for Jagan’s physical presence in connection with 5th chargesheet filed by CBI on Dalmia Cements case. Former Home Minister Sabita Indra Reddy, who was also named in the chargesheet appeared before the court. 

Vijayamma breaks down seeing Jagan in court

Y S Vijayamma, honorary president of YSR Congress broke down when she saw her son Jagan Mohan Reddy at Nampalli CBI court. Jagan consoled his wailing mother. The CBI court allowed Jagan Mohan Reddy to spend one hour with his family members in the court. He was shifted back to Chanchalguda jail after interacted with his family members for about an hour. 

Earlier, the police prevented Jagan’s family members to enter the court premises. Vijayamma expressed anguish over police excesses at the court imposing restrictions.
