Jagan in jail for defying Cong elders

YSRCP spokesperson Ambati Rambabu on Wednesday condemned Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy's remarks that Jagan did not go to jail fighting for people's problems.

Referring to Kiran Kumar Reddy, Ambati said Congress Party colluded with the TDP and kept Jagan in jail. “YS Jagan was arrested for not cooperating with the Congress and he won the Kadapa LS seat with a record majority and also his growing influence among the masses was the real reason for Jagan being in jail today," he said adding that Jagan had defied the Congress high command and was fighting for the people's problems.

Addressing a press conference in Hyderabad, Ambati said the conspiracy of the Congress government behind Jagan's arrest was proved when the Congress MLA Shankar Rao revealed the fact that he had filed the case at the behest of the  high command.

Stating that Congress and TDP were misleading the people with distorted versions, Ambati said the cases against Jagan were false and his arrest was undemocratic.

Accusing TDP chief Chandrababu for rejecting MP Sujana Chowdary's resignation, the YSRCP leader said this move by Chandrababu was expected. It is clear now that Chandrababu himself asked the three MPs to abstain from the vote on FDI in Parliament, he added.

He further said Chandrababu will be the prime beneficiary from the FDI as his Heritage chain of supermarkets will get profits.
