Jagan counters TDP in AP Assembly
Day II of the debate over Governor ESL Narasimhan's address to two legislative houses of Andhra Pradesh too witnessed intense war of words.
The TDP resorted to the by-now-familiar Corner-Jagan scheme, while YS Jagan repelled the attack effectively.
Who is the Big Boss?
The TDP, tried to level allegations against late YSR, Jagan demanded that the government reveal who was the Big Boss that hawala broker Hasan Ali had mentioned in his diaries. It may be recalled that at least two pre-2004 CMs had got hawala money during the election time. He demanded that the TDP reveal how much it had spent during the recent elections. He said the people of the respective constituencies as who spent how much.
IMG Case: Why did you seek stay?
Jagan also poohpoohed Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu's claim that he was an anti-corruption crucader. He said if it was so, why did Chandrababu get a stay in the IMG case, in which his name repeatedly cropped up.
When Chandrababu sought to refer to the books brought out against late YSR, Jagan wanted him to talk about the books brought against Chandrababu by his one-time ally CPI.
Stop poaching!
Jagan had also lambasted the TDP for poaching other parties. He said the TDP was luring not just MPs and MLAs, but even MPTCs and ZPTCs. He said the TDP has already admitted six MLCs from the Congress and alleged that the ruling party was trying to decimate the opposition by encouraging defections.
Orgy of violence against YSRCP workers
The YSRCP chief has also pointed out at the orgy of violence against the YSRCP. His party had lost 17 of its workers due to TDP-sponsored attacks and 110 were left injured. He said the TDP had not even expressed any remorse on such attacks.
Focus on waiving crop loans!
Jagan advised the Government to desist from dilatory and diversionary tactics and focus on crop loan waiver and other poll-eve promises.
