Jagan begins his "Samaikya Deeksha"

Hyderabad, YSR Congress chief Jagan Mohan Reddy began his  indefinite hunger strike at Lotus Pond on Saturday morning to protest against the Centre's decision to divide Andhra Pradesh by carving out one of its three regions, Telangana, as a new state.

Party supporters and fans across the state turned out in huge numbers.Particularly from Telangana. Heavy bandobust was arranged at the venue by police.

The swift decisions on protest from Jagan were consequential to developments on Thursday in New Delhi, where the Cabinet 'unilaterally' consented Telangana note, paving the way for State bifurcation.
He reiterated that his anguish has nothing to do with any politics and thus, called upon one and all across the party lines to join his protest, or to support his hunger strike.
