Hyderabad: Demanding the release of a DSC notification, the Telangana Unemployed Students Joint Action Committee launched a massive padayatra on Tuesday from Kakatiya University to Osmania University. Its chairman Koturi Manavatha Roy said that the state government is unconcerned about recruitment of teachers through DSC despite a Supreme Court order in this regard.

The padayatra will end at Osmaina University on September 12. At present the rally started off with 50 members and over thousands are expected to join in at major junctions like - Janagaon, Rayagiri, Bhongir and Ghatkesar.

Roy says nearly 45,000 teacher posts are vacant and many are eagerly waiting for the notification. DSC notification hasn’t been released for the past five years and many aspirants’ future is in an uncertainty, he said adding that after the culmination of the padayatra they will organize a meeting at the university to exert pressure on the government.
