It’s Time India Stood Up And Said Me Too: Renuka Chowdhary

Congress leader Renuka Chowdhury - Sakshi Post

Sri Reddy's casting couch allegations seems to have reached Delhi too. After Bollywood choreographer Saroj Khan, it was the turn of Congress leader Renuka Chowdhury to react to the issue. Renuka said that the issue was a grim reality and was not confined to film industry alone.

Renuka said: "It is not just in the film industry. It happens everywhere and it is the bitter truth. Don't imagine that parliament is immune or other work places are immune to it. It is time that India stood up and said 'Me Too'."

Earlier in the day Saroj Khan apologised after saying casting couch was common in every industry and that it was at least providing livelihood to several girls. This comment of hers had drawn flak from people.
