IT troubles attack Tirumala Devasthanam
When IT troubles strike, even Gods can't help!. Thousands of Tirupathi devotees learnt this the hard way on Thursday when Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) faced a huge server problem that saw all its computers crashing at the same time.
The computers crashed mid morning and continued for five hours leading to severe administrative hiccups. Thousands of devotees were stranded without 'darshan' or even rooms.
Without computers, the staff of the temple had to complete the herculean task of giving 'divya darshan' coupons, normal darshan coupons, and others, manually leading to overcrowding of devotees. Those waiting to get a room in TTD also had to wait as the staff could not take down their information. Moreover, those wanting to leave the premise by signing out of their rooms were also delayed.
Flared tempers were finally calmed after the glitch was rectified before evening.
